Snowstorm paralyses US northeast

A huge storm with hurricane-force wind gusts and blizzard conditions has hammered the northeastern US, leaving at least five people dead. New York City was spared by the worst of the storm, but further north in Boston, the storm dumped as much as two feet of snow. About 650,000 homes and businesses also lost power. Al Jazeera's Kristen Saloomey reports from New York.
